Botany Tours:

Namibia boasts over 4,300 plant species, with almost 17% being endemic. The central and northern eastern regions feature broad-leaved savannah biomes, home to species like Burkea, Guibourtia, Terminalia, and several Vachelia and Senegalia. The Namib Desert attracts botanists due to its high number of endemic succulents, including Hoodia, Euphorbia, and Lithops. The iconic Welwitschia mirabilis, known as the "living fossil," is predominantly found in western Namibia. The region south of Luderitz and Aus, part of Namaqualand and Northern Cape's higher rainfall zone, hosts unique plants like Pachypodium namaquanum, Aloe gariepensis, and Aloidendron species.
